Mangrove Jack's Craft Series is the range that turned kit brewing into something worth bragging about. Each kit is a full malt-extract recipe built by New Zealand brewers, most with a separate dry-hop sachet, and every one makes up to 23 litres — around 40 pints of finished beer.
This listing is the kit with a Mangrove Jack's Beer Enhancer added for just £1 — the enhancer on its own is £6.79. That makes it £25.95 against £24.95 for the kit alone, or around 65p a pint. The enhancer replaces the brewing sugar your instructions call for and gives a noticeably fuller body and better head retention. It is the cheapest upgrade you can make to a kit beer.

What's Included
Each kit contains a pouch of hopped liquid malt extract, a sachet of style-matched Mangrove Jack's Craft Series yeast, and — on most styles — a separate dry-hop sachet to add during fermentation. Your £1 beer enhancer comes with it. Full brewing instructions are included; you add water and time.
What Equipment Do You Need?
A 25-litre fermenter with airlock, a hydrometer, a syphon, and either bottles with caps or a pressure barrel. New to brewing? Our home brew starter kits bundle everything in one go. Whatever you use, sanitise it properly first with something from our cleaning and sanitising range — it is the single biggest cause of a disappointing brew.
Brewing Timeline
Day 1: Mix the kit with your enhancer and top up to 23 litres. Pitch the yeast at 20-24°C.
Day 4-6: Add the dry-hop sachet, if your kit has one, once the vigorous fermentation has slowed.
Day 7-14: Fermentation finishes. Confirm with two identical hydrometer readings two days apart before you bottle.
Week 3-5: Condition in the bottle or barrel. Hoppy styles are at their best after two to three weeks; the stout and red ale reward a little longer.
Tips for Best Results
- Use the enhancer rather than plain sugar — that is the whole point of this listing
- Hold fermentation steady at 20-24°C; swings cause off-flavours far more often than the kit does
- Add dry hops after the main fermentation slows, not at the start, or you will lose the aroma to the airlock
- Never bottle on the calendar — bottle on the hydrometer
- Serve the IPAs fresh; hop aroma fades after a couple of months
