Hop Scheduler
Set your hop additions and boil time, hit start, and this scheduler will count down to each addition and alert you (with sound) — so you never miss a hop drop mid-boil.
How to use it
- Set your total boil time in minutes.
- Enter each hop addition's timing (minutes remaining when it goes in — e.g. 60, 15, 5) and name it.
- Hit Start — the timer counts down and alerts you at each addition point.
Tips for hop scheduling
Add bittering hops early (usually 60 minutes) for maximum isomerisation and bitterness. Add flavour hops mid-boil (15–20 minutes) for a balance of flavour and some bitterness. Add aroma hops late (5 minutes or at flameout) to preserve the volatile oils that give aroma — these boil off quickly with extended heat.

How to use the hop timer on brew day
What it does: this is a countdown timer for your boil. You set the boil length and the time of each hop addition, and it beeps and shows a message when each addition is due.
How to use it: enter your total boil time. In each row, put the number of minutes left in the boil when the hops go in, as recipes are written (60 means at the start of a 60-minute boil, 0 means at flameout). Add a name if you like, then press Start when the wort reaches a rolling boil. Keep the page open and your volume up.
How the timings work: hop times count down to the end of the boil. A "15-minute addition" goes in when there are 15 minutes left, not 15 minutes after the start.
Worked example: a 60-minute boil with additions at 60, 15 and 0. The first alert sounds as soon as you press Start, the second after 45 minutes, and the last when the timer reaches zero.
