Terms of service
These terms apply when you use brewco.uk or buy from us. Please read them before you order. If you're buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
1. Who we are
brewco.uk is run by Brewco Brewing Ltd, trading as BrewCo Home Brew Supplies. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13108674, VAT number GB394972536). Our address is Unit 4b, The Former Post Office, Victoria Road, Sowerby Bridge HX6 3AE.
Phone: 07432 202843
Email: hello@brewco.uk
Our online shop runs on Shopify.
2. Age
Many of our products are used to make alcoholic drinks. You must be 18 or over to buy from us. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or over. We may cancel an order if we have reason to think this isn't the case.
3. Your order and our contract
- When you place an order you'll get an email confirming we've received it. This doesn't mean we've accepted it yet.
- Our contract with you starts when we email to say your order has been dispatched.
- If we can't accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock or there's a pricing error, we'll tell you and won't charge you (or will refund you in full if you've already paid).
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. See our shipping policy for the current rates.
- We take care to get prices right. If we find an item was wrongly priced, we'll contact you before dispatch, and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Products
- We describe our products as accurately as we can. Pictures are for illustration, and packaging may differ slightly from the photos.
- Ingredients such as yeast, hops and malt carry best-before dates. Where we sell an item close to or past its best-before date, we aim to show the date in the product name.
- Please follow the manufacturer's instructions, especially for cleaning and sanitising chemicals, and keep them away from children.
- What you brew at home is for your own use. If you plan to sell anything you make, you are responsible for getting any licences and paying any duty the law requires.
6. Delivery
- We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as we can, usually within 1–2 working days.
- Delivery times are estimates. We'll do our best to meet them, but we're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control (see section 10).
- The goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to you or to someone you name.
- Full details are in our shipping policy.
7. Cancelling and returning an order
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. We also offer our own 30-day returns for unused items in their original packaging. Some items, such as personalised items and sealed items that have been opened, can't be returned unless they are faulty. Return postage, refunds and timescales are explained in our refund policy.
8. Faulty or damaged goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they aren't, you can reject them for a full refund within 30 days, or ask for a repair or replacement after that. Please report damage within 10 days of delivery (with photos of the item and the box) and missing items within 7 days, so we can claim from the courier quickly. These time limits don't affect your legal rights. Full details are in our refund policy.
9. Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We are not responsible for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable.
- We supply our products for domestic and private use. We are not responsible to consumers for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
- We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for your legal rights in relation to the products, such as your right to goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
10. Events outside our control
We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as courier problems, severe weather or supplier shortages. If this happens, we'll tell you as soon as we can and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is long, you can cancel and we'll refund you for anything you've paid for but not received.
11. Using our website
- We try to keep the website accurate and up to date, but information, including guides, recipes and calculators, is for general guidance. Please check results that matter (such as recipe quantities) before you rely on them.
- You must not misuse the website, for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing viruses or harmful code, or using it for anything unlawful.
- The text, photos, recipes and tools on brewco.uk belong to us or our suppliers. You're welcome to use them for your own brewing, but please don't copy them for commercial use without asking.

12. Reviews and comments
If you send us a review, comment or other content, it must be honest and lawful and must not be offensive or infringe anyone else's rights. We may edit or remove content that breaks these rules. By posting it, you allow us to show it on our website and in our marketing.
13. Your personal information
We only use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
14. Complaints
If you're unhappy with anything, please contact us first on 07432 202843 or at hello@brewco.uk. We'll do our best to put it right.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.
16. Other important terms
- If a court decides that part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest will still apply.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- This contract is between you and us. Nobody else has any rights under it.
17. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring a claim in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland, in the Northern Irish courts.
