Pubs

Sowerby Bridge has a proud brewing history, and you can still taste it. If you've been inspired to brew your own, these three are well worth a visit for a pint of "research".

🍺 Hogs Head Brew House

A brewpub in a beautifully restored 18th-century former malthouse, full of original beams and features. Their beers are brewed on site, you can see the brewery from the bar, and there are guest ales too.

🍺 Hollins Mill

A spacious real ale pub beside the Rochdale Canal, in a converted old workshop with exposed beams and floorboards. A great range of real ales and gins, and a big south-facing beer garden for sunny days.

🍺 The Puzzle Hall

A historic 17th-century inn tucked between the canal and the river, which once had its own brewery. Now community-owned, it's a much-loved local with changing real ales and a long reputation for live music.
