Refund policy
Returns and refunds
We want you to be happy with everything you buy from BrewCo. If something isn't right, this page explains what you can do. None of it affects your legal rights.
1. Changed your mind? You have 30 days
The law gives you 14 days to cancel an online order. We give you longer: you can return most items within 30 days of the day you receive them, for any reason.
- The item must be unused and in its original condition.
- The original packaging must be intact.
- Please include your order number or proof of purchase.
Your legal right to cancel (14 days). Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel your order within 14 days of the day you (or someone you name) receive the goods, without giving a reason. If your order arrives in several parcels, the 14 days run from the day the last one arrives. To cancel, tell us clearly by email to hello@brewco.uk or by phone on 07432 202843. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
After 14 days, and up to 30 days, our own more generous returns promise applies on the same terms: unused, in original condition and packaging.
2. Items we can't take back
Unless they are faulty, we can't accept returns of:
- Personalised or made-to-order items, including anything made, mixed or cut to your order, because they can't be resold.
- Sealed items that have been opened and can't be returned for health or hygiene reasons, such as ingredients, yeast, hops, malt and other food or drink items, once the seal or packet has been opened.
3. Faulty, damaged or wrong items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they aren't:
- Within 30 days of delivery you can reject them and get a full refund.
- After 30 days you can ask for a repair or replacement. If that isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem, you can have a price reduction or a refund.
- If a fault shows up within 6 months of delivery, it is assumed to have been there when you received the item, unless we can show otherwise.
We pay the return postage for anything that is faulty, damaged or sent in error. Please contact us first and we'll arrange it.
4. Damaged in transit: please tell us within 10 days
Please check your parcel as soon as it arrives and tell us about any damage within 10 days of delivery. After 10 days we can no longer claim from our courier, so we'll need you to send the item back to us for inspection. If we confirm it arrived damaged, we'll refund your return postage along with the repair, replacement or refund. If we find no transit damage or fault, return postage isn't refundable. Email hello@brewco.uk with photos of:
- the outer box showing the DPD or Royal Mail label,
- the outer box itself,
- the product as it arrived, and
- a close-up of the damage.
The more photos you send, the better.
5. Missing items: please tell us within 7 days
Please check your order when it arrives and tell us about anything missing or incorrect within 7 days of delivery, so we can look into it with the courier while it's fresh.
These time limits help us sort things out quickly. They don't take away your rights under the Consumer Rights Act if goods turn out to be faulty or not as described.
6. Return postage
- Changed your mind: you pay the cost of sending the item back. We recommend a tracked service, as the item is your responsibility until it reaches us.
- Faulty, damaged or wrong item: we pay. Contact us first and we’ll tell you how to send it back. For transit damage reported more than 10 days after delivery, see section 4.
7. Your refund
- We refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back, or of you showing us proof that you've sent it, whichever is sooner. For faulty items we refund within 14 days of agreeing that you are due one.
- We refund to the payment method you used. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
- If you cancel a whole order within the 14-day legal period, we also refund the standard delivery charge you paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the cost of our cheapest standard option.
- We may reduce a refund if an item has been handled more than you'd need to check it (as you might in a shop) and has lost value as a result.
8. Where to send returns
