This 5 gallon white plastic barrel comes with a pin valve cap, so you can keep your home brew under pressure and pour it from the tap like a cask ale. It is the simple, low-cost way to skip bottling a full beer kit.
What you get
- White plastic pressure barrel with a tap
- Cap fitted with a pin valve that pierces 8g CO2 bulbs held in a bulb holder
- Supplier listing: 25 litre plastic barrel with pin valve (code 7072)
Using it
Syphon your fermented beer from the fermenter into a clean, sanitised barrel, add priming sugar and seal. Once conditioned, serve from the tap. When the flow slows, screw an 8g bulb in a holder onto the pin valve to add a little CO2.
Complete the set
- Bulb Holder for 8g CO2 Bulbs - needed to fit the 8g bulbs to the pin valve
- Three Kings 8g CO2 Chargers or LISS CO2 Chargers - 8g CO2 bulbs
- ChemSan - no-rinse sanitiser, or VWP Cleaner for a deeper clean (rinse after)
- 5 Gal Basic White Barrel with CO2 Injector System - the same style of barrel supplied with an injector system
Ideal for first-time kit brewers serving ales and stouts at home.
