The Cantina 28 Bottle Wine Kit Range from Hambleton Bard delivers one of the fastest home winemaking experiences available — producing 28 bottles of quality Italian-inspired wine in as little as five days. Clean, consistent, and very easy to use, Cantina kits are a favourite for both beginners and experienced home winemakers who want reliable results quickly.

Each kit makes approximately 21 litres (28 bottles) of wine at around 11–13% ABV. At £37.99–£39.99 per kit, that's around £1.35–£1.43 per bottle.

Available in 10 classic styles: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Montecino (Red), Peach Chablis, White, Pink Chardonnay, Pieselberg, Rosé, and Red.

About the Wine Styles

  • Cabernet Sauvignon — A full-bodied, structured red with dark fruit character and a dry, tannic finish.
  • Chardonnay — Clean and crisp with apple and citrus notes. Versatile and food-friendly.
  • Pinot Grigio — Light, fresh, and delicate with pear and floral notes. Excellent chilled.
  • Montecino (Red) — A smooth, medium-bodied Italian-style red with ripe fruit and a gentle finish.
  • Peach Chablis — A light, fruity white with a subtle peach character. Refreshing and easy drinking.
  • Pieselberg — A classic German-inspired medium white with a floral, slightly sweet character.
  • Pink Chardonnay — A delicate, off-dry rosé style with soft fruit and a refreshing finish.
  • Rosé — Light and fruity with summer fruit character. Best served well chilled.

What's Included

Each Cantina kit contains grape juice concentrate, yeast, finings, stabiliser, and full step-by-step instructions. Everything for fermentation and clearing is provided — just add water. No additional sugar required.

What Equipment Do You Need?

A 23-litre fermentation vessel, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and 28 bottles. Our home brew starter kits have everything you need in one bundle. A good sanitiser like VWP or StarSan is essential.

Tips for Best Results

  • Ferment at 18–22°C — the 5-day timeline assumes a stable, warm fermentation temperature
  • Allow the wine to clear fully with the included finings before bottling
  • Even a short conditioning period of 7–10 days in the bottle noticeably improves the flavour
