The Magnum Wine Range is a reliable, affordable home wine kit that offers an easy route to 30 bottles of quality wine at home. Made by Hambleton Bard — one of the UK's most respected home brew suppliers — Magnum kits use quality grape concentrate to produce well-balanced wines across four classic styles. A great choice for regular home winemakers who want consistent results without breaking the bank.

Each kit makes approximately 23 litres (around 30 bottles) at 11–12% ABV. At just £19.95 per kit, that's under 67p per bottle.

Available in four styles: Dry Rosé, Pinot Grigio, Medium Dry White, and Red.

About the Wine Styles

  • Dry Rosé — Fresh and delicate with light summer fruit character. Crisp and refreshing — best served well chilled.
  • Pinot Grigio — A clean, light Italian-style white with pear and citrus notes. Elegant and food-friendly.
  • Medium Dry White — A versatile, well-balanced white with a gentle sweetness and smooth finish. Very approachable and easy drinking.
  • Red — A fruity, medium-bodied red with a smooth, accessible finish. Ideal for everyday drinking.

Magnum vs WineBuddy vs Cantina

The Magnum range is a solid mid-range option. It's broadly comparable to the WineBuddy 30 Bottle range in terms of quality and price, with slightly different style selections. The Cantina range offers a faster 5-day result at a slightly higher price, while the Solomon Grundy Gold offers more variety at a similar cost.

What's Included

Each kit contains grape juice concentrate, yeast, finings, stabiliser, and full instructions. Add water and a small amount of sugar. Everything for fermentation and clearing is provided.

What Equipment Do You Need?
