What Equipment Do You Need?
A 23-litre fermentation vessel, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and bottles or a pressure barrel. Always sanitise with VWP or ChemSan — cider is particularly susceptible to contamination from wild yeasts.
Yeast
Ferment with Gervin GV13 Cider Yeast — a proper cider-specific strain rather than a general-purpose one. Use Beer Finings for a clearer result. Bottle with Carbonation Drops.
