The WineBuddy 30 Bottle Wine Kit Range is the UK's best-selling home wine making kit — and it's easy to see why. Each kit makes 30 bottles (approximately 22.5 litres) of quality, consistent wine at home in around 7 days, with no specialist equipment and no prior experience required.
Available in six popular grape varieties: Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and White Zinfandel. Whether you prefer a crisp dry white, a rich red, or a refreshing rosé style, there's a WineBuddy 30 to suit your taste.
What's Included
Each kit contains a sachet of concentrated grape juice, yeast, finings, and stabiliser — everything needed for fermentation and clearing. Just add water and a small amount of sugar. Full step-by-step instructions are included.
What Equipment Do You Need?
You'll need a 23-litre fermentation vessel, an airlock, a hydrometer, a siphon, and 30 wine bottles or a suitable container. If you're just starting out, our home brew starter kits include all of this in one bundle. You'll also need a sanitiser — we recommend VWP or StarSan for clean, reliable results every time.
How Long Does It Take?
Primary fermentation typically completes in 5–7 days. After clearing with the included finings, your wine is ready to bottle. Allow a further 1–2 weeks of bottle conditioning for best results, though many styles can be enjoyed sooner.
How Much Does It Work Out Per Bottle?
At £21.99 for 30 bottles, that's under 75p per bottle before the cost of sugar and equipment — a fraction of supermarket prices for a wine of comparable quality.
Tips for Best Results
- Ferment at a stable 18–22°C for clean, balanced flavour
- Always sanitise all equipment thoroughly before use
- Use a hydrometer to confirm fermentation is complete before bottling
- Allow at least 7–10 days conditioning in the bottle before drinking
