What Equipment Do You Need?

This kit is ingredients-only. You'll also need a 25-litre fermentation bucket, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and bottles or a pressure barrel. Our home brew starter kits include everything in one bundle. Always sanitise with VWP or ChemSan.

Tips for Best Results

• Enhance with 250g Crystal Malt steeped at 67°C for extra toffee depth
• Use Brewing Sugar or Brew Enhancer 3
• Upgrade the yeast to LalBrew Nottingham — a high-performance English-style ale yeast prized for its neutral flavour and consistency, giving a reliably clean, traditional bitter every time
• Add 15g Willamette at flameout for an earthy aroma
• Bottle with Carbonation Drops
