Mild Ale malt is the traditional base malt for classic English milds and darker session ales. Kilned slightly higher than pale ale malt, it delivers a fuller, nuttier, more biscuity flavour and a touch more colour — the backbone of a proper dark mild. It also adds depth to brown ales, porters and bitters where a richer malt character is wanted.
Use as up to 100% of the grist for milds, or blend with pale malt in other British styles. Supplied crushed and ready for all-grain brewing. 5kg bag.
