SS Classic 8 Urea Turbo Yeast

Still Spirits Classic 8 is an all-rounder turbo yeast and nutrient mix for a 25 L sugar wash. It performs well under most conditions: use 8 kg of sugar for a high-alcohol wash or 6 kg when you want a fast ferment.

• 6 kg sugar: about 3 days at 18°C or 2 days at 30°C
• 8 kg sugar: about 10 days at 16°C or 5 days at 25°C
• Approx. yield through a T500 reflux still: 3.7 L at 93% ABV (6 kg) or 4.5 L at 93% ABV (8 kg)

How to use

1. Clean and sanitise your fermenter.
2. Add water to the right volume and temperature and dissolve the sugar.
3. Stir in Classic 8, then Turbo Carbon.
4. When fermentation has finished, clear the wash with Turbo Clear before distilling.
