Summit T90 200g is the bigger pack of this very high-alpha American bittering hop - a cost-effective way to bitter high-gravity and heavily hopped beers. Used late, it develops tangerine and citrus notes.
Hop profile
- Origin: USA, American Dwarf Hop Association; released in 2003, bred from Nugget
- Alpha acid: very high, around 16-19%
- Aroma: tangerine and citrus with herbal, earthy notes; raw it can read as onion or garlic, which fades with heat
- Type: bittering hop
How to use it
Add it at the start of the boil as your bittering charge, using less by weight than with lower-alpha hops - our Hops Alpha Adjustment calculator helps you get it right. Hot-side late additions bring out the citrus.
Who it's for
Brewers of double IPAs, barley wines, West Coast IPAs and big American ales. T90 pellets are the standard form for home brewing - consistent, easy to weigh and easy to store. Keep the opened pack sealed and cold; our hop storage guide explains how.
