The Grainfather Glycol Chiller Adapter Kit (GCA) lets you connect almost any fermenter to a Grainfather GC2 or GC4 Glycol Chiller and control its temperature - including most plastic bucket fermenters. It brings app-controlled heating and cooling to fermenters that have no cooling jacket.

How it works

A stainless steel cooling coil sits inside the fermenter and is connected to the glycol chiller
A heating pad attaches to the outside of the fermenter with hook and loop tape
A temperature probe on the fermenter lets the GCA switch between cooling and heating as needed
Connects to the Grainfather App so you can control fermentation temperature on the go

ChemSan - to sanitise the coil before it goes in

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work on its own?

No. The GCA needs a Grainfather GC2 or GC4 Glycol Chiller to supply the cooling.

Will it work with a plastic bucket fermenter?

Grainfather say it suits almost any fermenter on the market, including most plastic bucket fermenters.

Can it heat as well as cool?

Yes. The heating pad warms the fermenter and the cooling coil cools it, with the temperature probe telling the GCA which is needed.
