How to use

Dissolve in water, run it through the system, then flush thoroughly with clean water - the How to Use box has the full method.

Who it's for

Home bar and keg owners, clubs and pubs that want an effective line clean without storing bottles of liquid. Pipeline Purple cleans; it is not a sanitiser, so use ChemSan on brewing equipment. Prefer smaller doses? Try the 50g sachet.

Used for: Powder beer line cleaner with colour indicator and bactericide, for all dispense equipment.

When: At every line clean.

Step by step
1Switch off the coolers.
2Pre-fill a plastic or stainless container with cold or warm water (under 40°C) - at least 1 litre per 100g sachet - then gently sprinkle in the powder while the water flows: 100g makes 10 litres, 50g makes 5 litres.
3Once dissolved, pump the solution through the dispense head into a white container until it runs purple.
4Soak for at least 10 minutes.
5Draw a full line of the discoloured fluid until purple shows; repeat until the purple is stable through the whole system.
6Rinse: pump fresh cold water through until no purple remains, then a further litre. Check with Pipeline rinse test papers - pink means clean, purple means keep rinsing.
7Switch the coolers back on and reconnect.
Good to know: DANGER - harmful if swallowed; causes severe skin burns and eye damage; may irritate the airways. Wear gloves and eye protection and don't breathe the dust. Contains sodium carbonate, potassium hydroxide and potassium permanganate. No caustic soda - safe on all line materials when used as directed.
