Starch Test & Treatment Kit
This kit allows the home winemaker to test all country wines for presence of Starch which is a major cause of cloudy wines. The kit also contains a treatment to eliminate any problems that are identified by the test. The kit contains replaceable reagent, treatment solution, and a pipette and sample test tube to ensure accurate measurements are achieved.
Instruction for Starch Test and Treatment:
Add 2ml of Starch Test Reagent to the test tube, using the pipette. Then add 6ml of wine or must. Secure the test tube cap and shake for a few seconds. If the solution remains an amber or brown colour then starch is not present. If the colour changes to a deep red or blue/black then starch is present and the resulting drink may not be clear.
To treat the problem, add 10 drops of Amylaze (more may be added if necessary) per gallon of wine.
For professional clarities, always filter your wine through a Vinbrite Filter before bottling/storing.

We use Royal Mail 48 Tracked for most orders, although also use DHL for next day delivery if chosen at checkout and also for some of our bigger orders.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment).
You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
