The TILT Hydrometer is a free-floating digital hydrometer and thermometer that lets you monitor your fermentation in real time — without ever opening your fermenter or sacrificing a sample of your precious brew.
Simply sanitise the TILT, drop it into your fermenter, and instantly read specific gravity and temperature on your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. It logs continuously throughout fermentation, giving you a full picture of how your ferment is progressing rather than just a snapshot at the end.
How It Works
The TILT floats in your fermenting beer or wine at an angle determined by the density of the liquid — just like a traditional hydrometer. A Bluetooth transmitter inside the sealed capsule sends SG and temperature readings to the free TILT app (iOS and Android) or to a dedicated Tilt Pi Raspberry Pi device. Readings update every few seconds, and the app logs them over time so you can track your fermentation curve.
Compatible with the Grainfather app, so SG and temperature are logged automatically to your brew session when using a Grainfather system.

Important Note on Multiple Units
If monitoring multiple fermenters at the same time, you must use a different colour TILT for each batch. The app cannot distinguish between two units of the same colour.
