Young's Fermenter 4" Air-Lok Cap,inc "O" ring

A genuine replacement 4" Air-Lok cap with O-ring for the Young's 25 litre wide-neck fermenter. It restores an airtight seal if the original cap has cracked or the O-ring has worn.

Why replace it

A fermenter needs a good seal so the CO2 escapes through the airlock rather than round the cap. That keeps air and bacteria out and lets you see fermentation working. A split cap or flattened O-ring is a common reason an airlock stops bubbling.

Fitting

Clean and sanitise the new cap and O-ring, seat the O-ring evenly, then screw the cap on firmly by hand.
