Still Spirits Top Shelf flavourings are the UK's most popular way to turn a neutral spirit or vodka into a convincing replica of a premium bottled spirit — at a fraction of the cost. Each 50ml essence bottle makes up to three 750ml bottles of finished spirit, simply by adding it to 2.25 litres of neutral spirit or vodka at 40% ABV.

🥃 How to use Top Shelf flavourings: Add the essence to 2.25L of neutral spirit or vodka at 40% ABV. For liqueurs and schnapps, you'll also need a base (see the bases section at the bottom of this guide) to add sweetness and body. Spirit flavourings (whiskey, rum, gin, vodka, brandy) need no base — just add and enjoy. All essences make 3 × 750ml bottles of finished spirit.

Which Base Do I Need?
Liqueurs, schnapps, and cream liqueurs require a base to give the finished drink its correct sweetness, body, and mouthfeel. Spirit flavourings (whiskey, rum, gin, vodka, brandy, tequila) do not require a base.
