Good body, very crisp and distinctly hoppy, from English Goldings and Fuggles. The maker says it is perfect with spicy food.

What's in the box

  • Malt extract in a bag-in-box pack
  • Varietal brewery yeast
  • Specially chosen hop pellets in a teabag

How to brew it

Soften the malt bag in hot water, mix it with 3 litres of hot water, top up to 23 litres at 20-25°C and add the yeast. Ferment for 8-15 days at 18-24°C; steep the hop teabag in boiling water for 10 minutes and add it on day 4. Bottle once the gravity stops falling, with a level teaspoon of sugar per 330ml or 500ml bottle, then keep warm for a week and cool for about another week to clear.

You'll also need

A classic British-style IPA for curry nights and hop fans. Prefer American hops? Try Four Finger Jack.
