Frequently Asked Questions
How many bottles does it make?

28 bottles (approximately 21 litres), at around 11-13% ABV. See our guide to how many bottles a kit makes.

How quickly is it ready?

In as little as five days, at a stable 18-22°C. A short 7-10 days' conditioning in the bottle noticeably improves the flavour.

Do I need to add sugar?

No - each Cantina kit includes grape juice concentrate, yeast, finings, stabiliser and instructions.

What does it taste like?

Fruity and ripe, with fresh, zesty lemon and lime and a clean, dry finish.

Can I use a different yeast?

The included yeast is built for the 5-day timeline, but Lalvin K1V-1116 or Gervin GV9 are good alternatives if you're not in a hurry. Bentonite helps clearing. See our wine yeast comparison chart.
