The Fermtech Wine Whip is a drill-powered degassing tool that removes dissolved CO2 from your wine in minutes — saving the arm-ache of manual stirring and getting better results every time.

Most wine kit instructions require vigorous stirring to degas the wine before stabilising and fining. The Wine Whip attaches to any standard 3/8" variable-speed electric drill and degasses a full 23-litre batch in around two minutes — far more thoroughly than hand stirring, and completely safe to use with glass carboys and demijohns.

Key Features

  • Degasses a full 23L batch in approximately 2 minutes
  • Fits any standard 3/8" variable-speed electric drill
  • Safe for use with glass carboys and demijohns
  • Removes dissolved CO2 more effectively than hand stirring
  • Reusable and easy to clean — simply rinse and sanitise

How to Use

Sanitise the Wine Whip thoroughly before use. Insert the shaft into your 3/8" drill chuck and tighten. Place the whip inside your fermenter or carboy, submerging the paddles fully. Run the drill at a low-to-medium speed, stirring the wine vigorously for 1–2 minutes until foaming subsides and bubbling stops. Repeat if necessary.

Degassing is a critical step in wine making — residual CO2 prevents finings from working properly and can leave your wine tasting harsh and spritzy. Using the Wine Whip ensures a thorough degas every time.
