What does a counterflow wort chiller do?

It cools your wort quickly after the boil, so you can move on to fermenting. This one transfers and cools in a single step, and the copper inner coil helps heat pass out of the wort efficiently.

How cool will it get my wort?

It is designed for fast cooling, down to within 3C of your source water temperature. So the colder your water is, the colder your wort can get.
