How to use

Add part one, then part two, as directed on the pack - full steps are in the How to Use box below.

Who it is for

Anyone making 30-bottle wine kits or large country wine batches in a 25 litre fermenter. If your kit already includes finings you will not need this, but it is handy for wines made from scratch or a batch that will not clear. For gallon batches choose the 1 gallon size.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do two-part finings work?

Part one (kieselsol) binds the haze particles; part two (chitosan) makes them clump and sink.

How long do they take?

Usually 48 hours, but up to 2 weeks for stubborn hazes. See our guide to how long a wine kit takes.

Are they vegan?

No - chitosan is usually made from crustacean shells. Use bentonite for a vegan option.
