Mangrove Jack's M05 is a mead yeast that gives fresh, floral esters, especially when fermented cool. It has high alcohol tolerance and ferments well over a wide temperature range, so it suits all styles of mead.

What it brings to your beer

  • Fresh, floral esters - more pronounced at cooler temperatures
  • High alcohol tolerance
  • Very high attenuation for a thorough fermentation
  • Suitable for all mead styles

Specifications

  • Attenuation: very high (95-100%)
  • Flocculation: high
  • Fermentation temperature: 15-30°C
  • Dose: one sachet for up to 17 litres of must

How to use it

Honey is low in nutrients, so add a yeast nutrient such as Bulldog Mead Yeast & Nutrition or Mangrove Jack's Wine Nutrient. Sprinkle the yeast onto up to 17 litres of must and ferment at 15-30°C. Store in the fridge.

For mead makers of any level, from a first gallon in a 5L demijohn to a larger batch.

Compare this against every wine yeast we stock.
