French Oak Chips 30g are used in red wine making to give a distinct oak aroma and flavour, as though the wine has been aged in oak casks. Simply add to the wine during or after fermentation to impart vanilla, wood spice, and tannin notes that add complexity and structure to your home made wine.
Disperse into your wine during the early stages of fermentation or shortly after. Leave for 1–2 weeks, then rack using a syphon. Particularly effective in red wines alongside GV8 Red Table Wine Yeast and Wine Tannin.
