Dried Sloes 500g are ideal for making sloe wine or sloe gin at home. Sloes are the small, dark, intensely tart berries of the blackthorn bush — naturally rich in tannins and flavour. Using dried sloes means you can make sloe wine or gin year-round without needing to forage in autumn.
Use approximately a quarter of the amount of fresh sloes. For sloe wine, ferment with GV11 Red Fruit Wine Yeast alongside Winemaking Sugar and Yeast Nutrient. Strain through Muslin Bags.
