What you get

  • A pale and wheat malt base with tropical juice concentrates and flavourings
  • Citra hops (50g) for bright, fragrant aroma
  • M44 US West Coast yeast (10g), which ferments clean and dry so the fruit stays up front

You'll also need

1.2kg of Mangrove Jack's Pure Liquid Malt Extract, or 1.4kg of Beer Enhancer 2. Mix with the pouch, top up to 23 litres and add the yeast; add the Citra hops as set out in our Craft Series instructions.

Ideal if you want craft IPA flavour without the heavy bitterness - a beer for long summer sessions. If you are new to brewing, the same beer is also in the Juicy Session IPA Starter Kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much beer does it make and how strong is it?

23 litres at approximately 4.8% ABV. See our free ABV calculator.

What do I need to add?

1.2kg of Pure Malt Extract (not included), plus water.

Which yeast is included?

Mangrove Jack's M44 US West Coast, which is matched to the style - use it rather than a generic ale yeast.

When do I add the dry hops?

The Citra dry hops go in when primary fermentation is nearly complete, for maximum hop aroma. See our step-by-step dry hopping guide.

How long before I can drink it?

Condition in the bottle for at least 10-14 days after fermentation. Take hydrometer readings two days apart - if the gravity hasn't changed, fermentation has finished.

How bitter is it?

3 out of 5 (22-28 IBU) - a delicate bitterness behind juicy citrus and tropical fruit aromas.
