Make 28–30 bottles of Winexpert's premium Reserve tier. The Winexpert Reserve Australian Grenache Rosé kit uses 10L of hand-selected grape concentrate and is ready to bottle in 6 weeks, delivering a medium-bodied rosé with strawberry, raspberry and crisp acidity.

Tasting Notes

Strawberry and raspberry with crisp acidity, and no oak. A dry, refreshing rosé with real red-fruit character — more structured than a typical blush, thanks to Grenache's natural body. Excellent as an aperitif or with light summer food.

Wine Profile

  • Style: Dry, medium-bodied rosé
  • Oak: None
  • Alcohol: approx. 12%
  • Grape concentrate: 10L | Makes 23L (28–30 bottles)

What Equipment Do You Need?

A 23-litre fermentation vessel, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and 28–30 bottles. New to winemaking? Our wine starter kits bundle all essentials. Always sanitise with VWP or ChemSan for best results.

Upgrading your yeast: for a fruity, early-drinking style like this, try Mangrove Jack's CR51, bred for fruit-forward wines meant for early drinking — a good match for this rosé's bright red-fruit character.

Fermentation Timeline

Week 1–3: Primary fermentation at 16–18°C for rosé (cooler than reds).

Week 4–5: Add finings and allow to clear.

Week 6: Bottle and age for 4–6 weeks before drinking.

Tips for Best Results

  • Ferment cool at 16–18°C to preserve the fresh red-fruit character
  • This style is best drunk young and fresh — don't over-age it
  • Allow the wine to clear completely before bottling
  • Serve well chilled and drink within 1–2 years
