What Equipment Do You Need?

This kit is ingredients-only. You'll also need a 25-litre fermentation bucket, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and bottles or a pressure barrel. Our home brew starter kits include everything in one bundle. Always sanitise with VWP or ChemSan.

Tips for Best Results

• Use 1kg Brewing Sugar, or upgrade to Coopers Brew Enhancer 2 for improved body and head retention
• Upgrade the yeast to Saflager W-34/70 — a true lager yeast, unlike the ale yeast included in the kit. It ferments cleaner and colder, giving the crisp continental character this style is named for
• Use Beer Finings for brilliant clarity
• Bottle with Carbonation Drops for easy, precise priming
