What Equipment Do You Need?
This kit is ingredients-only. You'll also need a 25-litre fermentation bucket, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and bottles or a pressure barrel. Our home brew starter kits include everything in one bundle. Always sanitise with VWP or ChemSan.
Tips for Best Results
- Brew with 1kg Brewing Sugar or Light Spraymalt for improved body
- Upgrade the yeast to Saflager W-34/70 — a true lager yeast, unlike the ale yeast included in the kit. It ferments cleaner and colder, giving the elegant, delicate character this Dortmunder-style lager needs
- Add Beer Finings for brilliant clarity
- Bottle with Carbonation Drops
