Thomas Coopers Brew A IPA takes its name from Thomas Cooper's very first recorded brew, dated 13th May 1862 — see the spec panel above for the beer's own profile. This 1.7kg kit is an excellent base to further enhance with additional hops of your choice.

What Equipment Do You Need?
This kit is ingredients-only. You'll also need a 25-litre fermentation bucket, airlock, hydrometer, siphon, and bottles or a pressure barrel. Our home brew starter kits include everything in one bundle. Always sanitise with VWP or ChemSan.
Tips for Best Results
- Elevate this kit by dry hopping with 25g Citra or Centennial for a tropical aroma boost
- Use Brew Enhancer 3 for a fuller malt body
- Upgrade the yeast to Safale US-05 — a clean American ale yeast with very low diacetyl. It stays neutral rather than adding fruity esters, so the hop character you're dry-hopping for actually comes through
