Mexican Cerveza (1.7kg) is inspired by the crisp lagers of Mexico — see the spec panel above for the beer's own profile. Not to be confused with the Coopers DIY European Lager or the plain Coopers DIY Lager; this one's built specifically to be drunk very cold with lime, not sipped slowly.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's in the kit?

A 1.7kg tin of hopped lager malt concentrate with a sachet of yeast under the lid. It's ingredients-only, so you'll need your own brewing equipment.

How much beer does it make?

23 litres - about 40 pints - like the rest of the Thomas Coopers 1.7kg range.

What do I need to add?

Water plus 1kg of Brewing Sugar or Brew Enhancer 2.

Can I improve on the kit yeast?

Yes - Saflager W-34/70 is a true lager yeast that ferments cleaner and colder than the included ale yeast, giving a crisper result.

How should I finish and serve it?

Use Beer Finings for clarity, prime the bottles with Carbonation Drops, and serve very cold with a wedge of lime.

Better than bog standard lager. To make it an IPL, add some more hops.
